Mission

The CSR Children’s Foundation will endeavor to create opportunities to enhance the lives of children challenged by mental or physical disabilities by providing “once in a lifetime” water-sport experiences that can be shared with their families.

We started over 25 years ago with one hospital and less than 20 children. Today, on one extraordinary day a year, we host nearly 1,000 special needs children and their families on a “once in a lifetime” day of no worries – just pure fun! For one day, they don’t have to think about hospitals, medicine, or therapy. On this special day, it’s all friends and water therapy – what better prescription for a happy soul?

ABEL’s STORY

Abel went on his first ride in a boat on his own – an event his Mom never imagined that he would do. Two years ago, you could not even pour water on his head as he was terrified. At Kid’s Day, he fit right in, was part of the event, made friends, and found his comfort zone. He grabbed anyone willing to ride with him and hopped on every boat he could. On his timeline at school, he notes that BEACH DAY was one of his favorite days of the year (next to his birthday).
