Kathie Sitton has had a successful career as a senior finance and accounting executive in the commercial real estate industry for over 20 years. Currently Kathie is the Associate Director of Property Accounting for BKM Management, LP, a commercial real estate fund manager. Kathie holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Santa Clara University, an MBA from California State University Long Beach, holds her real estate salesperson license and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. In addition, Kathie is a graduate of the Los Angeles FBI Citizen’s Academy.
Kathie was born and raised in Long Beach and is the proud mom of two daughters, Samantha, a sophomore at San Francisco State and Sydney, a Freshman at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Kathie Sitton has been a volunteer almost her whole life. When she was in seventh grade, she started working with Special Olympics, an experience she found so fulfilling that she has been dedicated to volunteering for special needs children and adults ever since.
Kathie’s dedication to volunteering includes positions as Class Coordinator for Lion’s Heart Teen Service Organization, Business Advisory Member of Elwyn California and original member and volunteer for Friends of Pathways.
For Kathie, working with people with disabilities is an amazing experience, and while she enjoys solving financial problems, she finds there is so much more intrinsic value in helping others who truly need our help.
